What’s Ahead for the Garden State?
This fall’s election for governor will set the tone for life in New Jersey during the next four years. While the values embodied by our state are under attack at the national level, New Jerseyans have the opportunity to fortify those values here at home. The next resident at our governor’s mansion, Drumthwacket, can either strengthen and expand upon our rights, or weaken the guard rails protecting us from the whims of the federal government.
With so much at stake, it’s crucial to understand the choice we face in the primary election, whether voting early from June 3-8, or voting on primary election day, June 10. To help you make an informed decision, we’re highlighting the Democratic candidates’ positions as they relate to the policy pillars of Garden State Growth: Legal Rights and Social Protection, Cost of Living and Accessibility, Access to Health Care, and Quality of Education.
Our Research
The Garden State Growth research team reviewed each candidate’s campaign materials—websites, speeches, social media, and related content—as well as media coverage, editorials, and other public communications from throughout the candidates’ careers. We worked to present the candidates’ platforms in a format that makes comparisons as straightforward as possible so you can easily investigate further and make the most informed choice.
